Jennifer Lenora Yeager

August 1, 1974 — January 15, 2025

Jennifer Lenora Yeager (nee Rush) of Camden, NJ, passed away on January 15th, 2025, after a long battle with Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome.

Born to Stephen (Elizabeth) and the late Diane Terry (nee Hartsfield) Rush on August 1st, 1974, in Charleston, South Carolina. Jen is the beloved sister of Eric (Dawn) Rush. Stephen and Diane were proud military servicemen, Stephen worked on nuclear submarines while Diane had to resign due to her Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome worsening. Growing up in a military family, Jen got to see many different parts of the world from a young age as she was a graduate of Blaine High School of Minnesota, class of 1993. Growing up and having to move around as much as the Rush family had, it was hard to make long-lasting friendships. Thankfully, Jen experienced a friend for a lifetime with Dawn, as the pair stayed close since high school. After graduation, Jen continued her travels as she made her way to Texas. While working in Texas as a security guard in the late 90’s, Jen met the love of her life, Roy Yeager. Jen and Roy built their unwavering love off their friendship, as they were best friends for the duration of their time together. Roy and Jen married on January 20th, 2001, and have been inseparable ever since. Together the couple enjoyed taking road trips, where many drives included Jen, Roy, and only the radio to keep them company. The pair travelled across Canada, visited all The Great Lakes, and to almost every state in The United States. Jen and Roy had a shared passion for music, seeing live performances by The Firehouse, The Stix, and 3 Dog Night.

As Jen’s diagnosis became more apparent, Jen could be found playing computer games on her laptop, specifically Tetris, listening to her favorite artist, Bon Jovi, completing Crossword Puzzles, and taking up Country Cross-Stitching. Jen’s family and friends fondly remember her ever-present positivity. Jen tried making the best out of every situation life handed her, and as Roy says, his perfect balance. Jen’s kindness extended to every person she met, making them feel like they were lifelong friends.

Jen’s survived by her beloved husband of 24 years, Roy Yeager, her father Stephen and Stepmom Elizabeth Rush, brother Eric Rush, and cherished nieces Mikayla and McKendra Rush.

Jen is remembered fondly for her charismatic, kind personality, and her heart of gold.
